Description

This tree is the most visually appealing in the fall season when the leaves turn many shades of red and orange. The sap from this tree is used for maple syrup and sugar giving it its name.

Width: 40–50 ft.
Zone: 3-8
Plant Characteristics: Tolerates shade, likes a well-drained, moderately moist, fertile soil.
