Did you know that our store is open year-round? Throughout the year, we host a number of seasonal events in hopes of bringing the community together to engage in fun, educational, and crafty activities. During March Break, we invite families to participate in daily activities like plant potting, rock painting, and more.

In April, we host our Spring Open House, which welcomes the growing season and highlights the arrival of our spring collections. Our Pumpkin Painting event in October is a yearly favourite. Finally, during Christmas, we hold our Christmas Open House where we host a weekend of festive workshops and welcome our community to browse our holiday themes.

In 2025, we celebrated the start of the fall season with our very first Friendsgiving event – an intimate gathering designed to bring people together through creativity, community, and connection.

We gathered to decorate pumpkins with beautiful pressed flowers, then learned how to make flower arrangements with our florist, Robin. Throughout the event, we enjoyed a variety of apples, provided by Dixie Orchards, and a few flavours of sparkling apple ciders, provided by Spirit Tree Cidery.

After the DIY activities, we toured the greenhouse with Suzanne, who taught us some interesting facts about tropical plants. And to end the day, we enjoyed some delicious apple pie (courtesy of Dixie Orchards).

A special thank you goes out to Spirit Tree Cidery, for providing a variety of their sparkling apple ciders, and Dixie Orchards, for providing a selection of Empire, Honey Crisp, and Gala apples and apple pies for our guests to enjoy throughout the afternoon.

Our annual Pumpkin Painting event is a hit every year! This FREE one-day event is an opportunity for friends and family to come together to enjoy a fun fall activity with the community. All materials are provided including pie pumpkins, acrylic paint, and other crafting materials.

Participants learn how to mix secondary colours from primary colorus and are given festive worksheets and colouring sheets to take home. Families are invited to take photos at our fall selfie station and browse and shop from our beautiful fall and winter displays put together by our talented staff.

Our Christmas Open House is an annual event that we have hosted every holiday season for over 15 years. From November to December, all are welcome to browse our Holiday Headquarters, where you can peruse our decorated everlasting trees and shop our showroom by theme. We also have a huge selection of fresh cut trees in pine and fir varieties.

In early November, all are welcome to join us for the holiday kickoff, our Christmas Open House, where adults and children alike can enjoy seasonal refreshments like warm apple cider  and popcorn, and participate in one of our many holiday-themed workshops and seminars happening throughout the weekend.
