Crabapple Tree 'Pink Spires'

Malus Pink Spires

Description:

The dense, multi-stemmed, rounded shrub gets its common name from the transformation of its medium-green elliptical leaves into brilliant red fall foliage. Best planted in the fall or spring from a container-grown nursery plant, burning bush grows at a moderate pace, adding about a foot of growth per year, and requires full sunlight.

Early to flower with deep rose buds opening to single fragrant pink blooms. The reddish new foliage changes to green with coppery-bronze tips in the summer. The compact oval habit and upright branching makes them suitable for restricted spaces.
