Goldmound Spirea is a multi-stemmed deciduous shrub with a rounded shape. It has a fine texture & will require occasional maintenance and upkeep. Noted for its brilliant foliage, Spiraea japonica 'Gold Mound' (Japanese Spirea) is a compact, spreading deciduous shrub with golden yellow ovate leaves in spring, fading to greenish-yellow as the summer progresses. The foliage turns lovely shades of orange, red and yellow in the fall.
